The melodious bird in Golden cage
Remember the story in childhood where a king captures the sweet singing bird in a cage and then the bird loses what made her so special, her gift of mellifluous voice, her singing, it all faded away.
People say I'm very impatient and don't know what I want, yet keep chasing a dream - maybe dream job, dream love, dream house, dream city - but whatever I chase is a dream for all those who live on this practical earth. I never justify myself, not because I can't because this is something that you have to feel and no one can explain. Like the feeling when you have to breathe hard in December winter and your nose turns cherry red or when you see the October sky and stars entice you. If you can feel this, you know what I'm talking about, for the rest, don't worry - you lost your imagination somewhere on the way, its not too late to step out and see the sky and smile at the stars, your childhood will come back to you.
Remember when playing in the ground with the neighborhood kids was the highlight of the vacations or taking a craft/music/ karate class or buying a guitar was worth sacrificing some part of the pocket money. Some of us really followed our passion but most of us got lost in creating a luxurious lifestyle, if I may say. Most of us took jobs that don't really make any sense, just ensure that we get heft salary at the end of the month. And it gets worse when we stop chasing our dreams all together because that salary has become an addiction. Some people indulge in "Recreational Activities" after the gloomy day to unwind and take on teh next day as it will definitely be more disastrous than today, others simply whine about this to their spouse, partner, friends, basically who so ever is available.
All of us are the trophy birds - someone sings well, someone looks good, someone is brainy, someone is simply sweet and someone has some magical powers. But there is no cruel king in our story, we have built our own cages - gold, platinum, iron, copper and we deny ourselves the opportunity of the flight of freedom. We are scared if losing the luxury and safety of our cage while the azure sky awaits, with some dangers, but with immense vastness, adventure and thrills. Don't forget to fly!!
